Don't try toilet training without preparing first
As I mentioned earlier, I toilet trained both of my toddlers. What a difference a bit of knowledge and preparation makes. With my daughter, she was ready to start toilet training before I gave it a thought. She did great with urination, but I had major problems getting her to produce a bowel movement in the toilet. It was a trying time for both of us.
After some late nights researching on the Internet, I bought her a toilet training video and book. These were some of the best tools a parent looking to toilet train could have. After reading the book and watching the video many times, she finally understood what I was trying to get her to do all along. We never had a problem afterward.
With her brother, things went much more smoothly. I was so glad I already had some knowledge about toilet training. Like his sister, he really took to the toilet training video and book. I had also bought a toilet seat which further reduced the time it took to get him going on the toilet. The whole toilet training process with him took less than two weeks, a far cry from the month and a half it took his sister.
I hope you can find some important toilet training information and very useful toilet training products here. While you're toilet training, try to remember this fact: It is estimated that a baby uses six to 10 diapers each day - this translates to about 2,000 to 3,000 diapers each year. If you're thinking what I'm thinking, you don't want to change one more diaper than you have to.
Hang in there. The beginners guides on this site will show you and your toddler how to achieve toilet training success quickly and easily!
